• Honoring Pastor Sterling!

Pastor Sterling will be honored by 104.1FM as one of the top 20 pastors in the DC Metropolitan area at their 15th Annual Prayer Breakfast at Martin’s Crosswind on Saturday, March 18th from 8am – 12noon. You may attend the breakfast and support Pastor Sterling by purchasing tickets for $40 per person. In-person tickets may be purchased from the Church Office Monday-Friday, between 9am and 5pm, Gospel Spreading Bible Bookstore (2002 Georgia Ave NW, Washington DC 20001) or Vision Christian Bookstore (10398 Piscataway Road, Clinton MD 20735). 

  •  Sisters Prayer Event

"Connecting Sisters Together in Love” Colossians 2:2 - Join Kettering Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church as we connect as one through prayer on Saturday, February 25th at 8:30am at Kettering Baptist Church Legacy Center. Tickets are $5.00 per person (non-refundable), and continental breakfast will be provided. We will be fasting on Wednesday, February 22nd from 6am-12noon.   • Attention Parents and Guardians

For the safety and wellbeing of your child(ren), please ensure that they are under your supervision at all times. If your child is involved with a Ministry activity, please ensure they are properly dropped off in the care and supervision of a Kettering Ministry Leader. Children are not to wander the building or be unattended at any time.


  • Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry is planning another exciting KBC Reads event for all children age pre-K through 6th grade on this Friday, February 24th from 7-9pm. In honor of Black History Month the event’s theme is “Hidden Figures in Black History”.  We will spotlight little known African Americans who have made great contributions to our country in a variety of disciplines and categories.  As always, the objective of KBC Reads is to encourage families to spend quality time reading together and to inspire children to obtain and maintain a love for reading.  There will be free books, food and fun for everyone in attendance!  You may register for this free event online by clicking here.   POCs: Terry Williams at 240-350-6016 or Ricardo Wesley at 301-503-8503.

  • Music Ministry

If you would like to know more about the Music Ministry and how you can be involved, please join the Music Ministry’s Open House on this Friday, February 24th at 7pm.

  • Women's Enrichment Ministry

Sisters come join us on Saturday, April 8th for a Closed Caption Simulcast (a broadcast made concurrently to various locations) featuring the live event with Priscilla Shirer. We will be extremely blessed with the opportunity to collectively witness a life changing experience with other sisters in our local area.

In-person collections will be taken on Sunday, March 5th only following each service in Room 104. You may register on-line at any time  at www.ketteringministries.org/women-s-ministry.html at the NON-refundable cost of $25 per person (includes boxed lunch); you may also purchase your T-shirt on-line for $15 (ready for pick-up the day of the event).  Check-in registration begins at 7:30am.   • Church Tours

We are off and running with our building tours!  For the months of February, March, and April, the schedule is Mondays and Fridays at 11:15am.  Please wear comfortable shoes as we anticipate the tour lasting at least 20-30 minutes.  If you are interested in participating in a tour, please call the Church Office and provide your name, phone number, email address, and the date (Monday or Friday) that you would like a tour; confirmation of requests will be made within 24 hours.   • Contribution Envelopes and Statement Updates

For year 2017 we have assigned new numbers to everyone who contributes to KBC by use of envelopes, eGiving (online & text), PayPal, online banking bill payment and/or direct deposit. All envelope contributors need to pick up their 2017 contribution envelopes and all eGiving/PayPal online banking bill payment/direct deposit contributors need to pick up a new giving number  today after both the 8am and 11am services in the Multipurpose Room. Please begin using your new envelopes or giving number immediately and be sure to update your eGiving/PayPal/online banking bill payment/direct deposit information. 
Additionally, contributors using online banking bill payment should update their account to reflect the church’s new address: 6909 Crain Highway, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772.


  • Nursery, Mission Friends, and Children’s Church Meeting

There will be a mandatory meeting for all those who would like to join or who currently minister in the Nursery, Mission Friends, and Children’s Church on Saturday, March 11th at 9am.

  •  Missions Ministry

Youth Missions Trip: The youth will be traveling on missions to Guyana, South America from Friday, July 7th through Saturday, July 15th. Mission activities will include sharing Christ in various venues including: VBS, neighborhood evangelism, and personal testimonies. Adult Missions Trip: Kettering Baptist is sponsoring an adult mission trip to Portland, Maine from Sunday, June 11th through Friday, June 16th. Mission activities will include sharing Christ in various venues including: outreach to African refugees, feeding programs, neighborhood clean-up, kids club, etc. There are a limited number of spaces available.   • Active Parenting Workshop

Come learn more about creating harmony and stability in your family while raising your children/grandchildren to be responsible, courageous and prepared for independent life. The workshop will be facilitated by Beverly R. Sargent, Ph.D., a licensed, family therapist and executive director of the District Heights Family & Youth Services Bureau.
